Restart WhatsApp if it is not already running.
Tap on its icon on your home screencap on “Settings”
Under “Account settings”, uncheck “Read receipt”
Select Settings
Under “Account settings”, uncheck “Read receipt”
Tap on the three lines in the top left corner to close the Settings screen.
